Bishkek, June 12, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Ambassador to the United States Edil Baisalov participated in the 10th Atlantic Council Energy Forum, one of the largest international events dedicated to energy, investment, and economic development.
During his speech, Edil Baisalov drew the attention of forum participants to the negative consequences of the ongoing crisis in the Strait of Hormuz for the global economy and states not directly involved in the conflict.
In particular, it was emphasized that the crisis's impact on the agricultural sector was particularly noticeable during the spring field season, when farmers faced rising prices for diesel fuel and other fuels and lubricants. According to Edil Baisalov, this situation demonstrates the close interconnectedness of the global economy and the importance of ensuring the stability of international trade and transport routes.
The forum also presented information on Kyrgyzstan's dynamic development, high rates of economic growth, ongoing reforms, and opportunities for foreign investors.
