Bishkek, May 22, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has received an official invitation to join the European Convention on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters, the Prosecutor General's Office reported.
According to the information, this decision will contribute to expanding international legal cooperation, increasing the effectiveness of mutual assistance in criminal matters with foreign states, and strengthening the ability to trace criminal assets.
Also, at the 89th plenary meeting of the PC-OC Committee, which is taking place in Strasbourg, a representative of the Prosecutor General's Office was included in the working group on the extradition of convicted persons.
