Bishkek, June 29, 2026. /Kabar/. Finance Minister Ruslan Suinaliev met with Pietro Lazzeri, Pietro Lazzeri, Head of the Economic Cooperation and Development Division at State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
According to the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Swiss financial and economic cooperation, including issues of macroeconomic support, public administration development, and the implementation of technical assistance programs.
Particular attention was paid to preparations for the upcoming meeting of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank constituencies, as well as expanding cooperation through the Regional Capacity Development Center for the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia.
In his speech, Ruslan Suinaliev expressed gratitude to Switzerland for its long-standing support for reforms in Kyrgyzstan, noting that the programs implemented are making a significant contribution to strengthening public finances, improving budget management, and developing economic institutions.
Following the meeting, the parties also confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening their partnership, expanding practical interaction, and implementing new joint initiatives aimed at the sustainable socioeconomic development of Kyrgyzstan.
