Bishkek, April 22, 2026. /Kabar/. Training for the European driving license (Code 95) will now be conducted in Kyrgyzstan, Kanybek Tumanbaev, head of presidential administration posts on social media.

According to him, the main advantage is that Kyrgyzstanis will now be able to obtain the necessary qualifications without intermediaries and without traveling to European Union countries, significantly reducing time and financial costs.

The training will be conducted in partnership with licensed European company. Furthermore, the aforementioned company will assist citizens in finding official employment in European countries. For example, according to European data, the demand for heavy-duty truck drivers in Germany alone is 500,000 this year.

The Code 95 certificate is mandatory requirement for all drivers engaged in freight and passenger transport within the EU. Possession of this certificate entitles citizens to official employment in EU countries.

As Tumanbaev reported, training is organized in two formats:

Short-term course (1 week) - for drivers who received their CE category before September 10, 2009. The program includes approximately 35 hours of theoretical training and a similar amount of practical training.

Full-term course (3 weeks) - for drivers who received their CE category after September 10, 2009.

After completing training in Kyrgyzstan, drivers will be able to obtain a Code 95 certificate without the need to take additional exams or re-train upon arrival in Europe. It is important to note that the Code 95 certificate is only valid when presented in conjunction with a national driving license.

Further information about the start date and registration requirements will be provided later. The academic program is scheduled to begin in June–July 2026.
