Bishkek, June 15, 2026. /Kabar/. "Guarantee Fund" OJSC and the Ministry of Finance signed a $59 million subsidiary agreement within the framework of World Bank project.
According to the Guarantee Fund, these funds will be used to implement the "Green Guarantees" mechanism in the country and support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
The project aims to introduce environmentally friendly technologies in Kyrgyzstan, increase resilience to climate change, and develop the green financing market.
The entrepreneurs to use loans for the following project areas:
- renewable energy sources and energy efficiency;
- modernization of production in accordance with environmental requirements;
- introduction of sustainable agricultural methods.
"The green transformation of the economy is impossible without affordable financing. The new guarantee mechanism will allow entrepreneurs to introduce modern environmental technologies and increase the energy efficiency of businesses," said Malik-Aidar Abakirov, Chairman of the Board of the Guarantee Fund OJSC.
The project will contribute to the sustainable socio-economic development of the country and the achievement of national goals for the green economy.
