Bishkek, March 16, 2026. /Kabar/. A working meeting was held today in Chengdu, China, between Zhusubali Toromamatov, Trade Representative of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Li Yuping, Deputy Director of the Chengdu Bureau of Commerce in Sichuan Province.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, the main focus of the talks was on expanding trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Chengdu.
The trade representative also informed the Chinese side about Kyrgyzstan's tourism potential, emphasizing the prospects for development in this area due to the availability of direct air service on the Chengdu-Bishkek-Chengdu route.
It is noted that a key outcome of the meeting was an agreement to jointly explore the opening of a "Kyrgyz Trade House" and a "Kyrgyz-Chinese Center for Trade and Economic Cooperation" in Chengdu.
"The creation of these structures is intended to ensure the year-round presentation and sale of environmentally friendly products from Kyrgyzstan, as well as to become an effective platform for developing business ties between entrepreneurs of the two countries," the statement reads.
