Bishkek, May 25, 2026 /Kabar/. National Bank of Kyrgyz Republic continues its work to centralize payments. Chairman Almaz Baketaev told at press conference.
He noted that the National Bank has introduced a single space for QR code payments.
"We are just on the threshold of expanding beyond Kyrgyzstan. Our colleagues from Interbank Processing Center CJSC and Alipay+ launched this project last year. Today, we are launching this project into practice. "Our citizens in 62 countries can make payments in any currency," he said.
Baketaev emphasized that the service will allow Kyrgyz citizens to make payments abroad without additional complications and will make payments more convenient and accessible.
