Bishkek, June 9, 2026 /Kabar/. As of May 1 of this year, there were 8,248 job vacancies in Kyrgyzstan. Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration reports.
According to the ministry, the greatest demand is for blue-collar jobs. Currently, the official unemployment rate in the country is 1.4%. The number of unemployed registered with employment services reaches 60,200 people, of whom 38,700 are officially registered as unemployed. Since the beginning of the year, 54,807 citizens have applied to employment services. With assistance from employment services, 4,554 people have been placed in jobs.
It is noted that, given rising unemployment and job shortages, training for unemployed citizens is a priority. To improve the competitiveness of the unemployed in the labor market, taking into account the labor market needs for certain professions, employment services have referred 2,697 unemployed citizens who are in demand to vocational training by May 1, 2026.
These include computer operators, sales agents, cooks, cosmetologists, hairdressers, manucurist, massage therapists, makeup artists, translators, accountants with 1C experience, seamstresses, electric and gas welders, and plumbers.
