With the arrival of summer, the Kyrgyz mountains transform into a special, almost fairytale-like world. For those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse themselves in nature, the country offers numerous picturesque destinations. This time, Kabar visited two of Kyrgyzstan's most beautiful and pristine tourist areas—the Suusamyr valley and the Chychkan gorge.

The journey from Bishkek in the morning took about 2.5–3 hours to Suusamyr valley. The road itself becomes a journey: after crossing the Teo-Ashuu Pass, endless green expanses open up before your eyes. Suusamyr in June resembles a fairy tale—the wide valley seems covered in a green carpet, the mountains soar into the sky, and nature reveals all its beauty.

Rows of yurts line the roadside, selling freshly baked bread, fragrant ghee, kuurdak, kurut, and, of course, the famous Suusamyr kumys.

For weary travelers, this becomes a real treat, and the number of tourists trying the national dishes is traditionally high.

In recent years, ethno and glamping tourism has been actively developing in Suusamyr. Along with yurts, modern glamping houses are appearing, popular with tourists seeking to combine comfort and nature. Here you can meet guests from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries, who are exploring the nomadic culture of Kyrgyzstan.

The health resorts where kumiss is used for healing, you can often see local tourists.

Continuing along the Bishkek-Osh highway, we arrived at the Chychkan Gorge, which welcomed us with a completely different natural atmosphere. High, rocky mountains and the road running right through the gorge create an impression of unity between nature and human labor.

For many, the Chychkan Gorge is more than just a transit point, but a place of rest and relaxation far from the bustle of the city. Here, the cool mountain breeze, clean air, and the sound of the river create a feeling of complete harmony with nature. Along the road, locals offer kumys, ghee, and the famous Toktogul honey, which is popular with tourists, including foreign ones.

In recent years, the Chychkan Gorge has become a developed tourist destination, with modern recreation centers, hotels, and cottages built here. Accommodations average between 2,500 and 10,000 soms per night, depending on the accommodations and level of comfort.

Suusamyr and Chychkan are striking examples of Kyrgyzstan's natural wealth, beauty, and hospitality. Having visited once, many people long to return again to experience the oneness with nature and the tranquility of the mountain valleys and gorges.
