Bishkek, May 23, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with CIS countries has increased by more than 9 percent,Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev told at a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS member states.
In his speech, Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the successful development of the economic direction of the partnership.
"Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with CIS countries in 2025 exceeded $7 billion, an increase of more than 9% compared to 2024," he said.
In order to further expand trade and economic ties, the chairman of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry put forward a number of important proposals, including improving mutual trade conditions and eliminating administrative restrictions, digitalizing foreign trade operations and ensuring reliable transit, and supporting a new transport concept connecting the regions.
He also emphasized the strategic importance of the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, which will become a trade hub.
Finally, Kasymaliev invited the CIS countries to participate in the 40th Issyk-Kul International Forum and the World Nomad Games, which will be held in Kyrgyzstan this year. As a result of the meeting, a number of joint documents were signed.
