Minister checks construction of 12 schools in Bishkek

Bishkek, June 22, 2026 /Kabar/. On June 21, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing, and Communal Services of Kyrgyzstan Nurdan Oruntaev, together with the heads of relevant departments, inspected the construction of 12 schools in Bishkek.

According to the ministry, inspections were conducted at educational facilities in the Oktyabrsky and Leninsky districts, construction of which began this year. During the on-site inspection, special attention was paid to the quality of construction work, the number of workers involved, the pace of construction, adherence to approved schedules, and the quality of the building materials used.

During the on-site inspection, the minister inspected the construction progress of the following facilities:

Leninsky District:

  • Alykulov street, 1 — new School No. 42 for 385 students;
  • Kashka-Bash village — new school for 750 students;
  • Ak-Ordo residential complex, Alykulov street, 1. Tenir-Too, 1 - new school for 750 places;
  • Gagarin street, 166 - new building of school No. 55 for 1200 places;
  • Microdistrict Jal, 29 - new building of school No. 72 for 750 places;
  • Archa-Beshik residential area, Sadybakasov street, 94 - new building of school No. 79 for 560 places.

Oktyabrsky district:

  • Kok-Zhar residential area, Kuyruchuk street, 123/1 - new building of school No. 88 for 500 places;
  • Southern planning zone, Tokombaev street, 15/8a - new school for 750 places;
  • Microdistrict No. 8, 19/1 - new building of school No. 64 for 800 places;
  • Oskon-Ordo residential complex — a new school for 750 students;
  • Kara-Zhygach residential complex, 18/1 Oberon street — a new building for School No. 91 for 750 students;
  • Kok-Zhar village — a new school for 750 students.

The minister noted that the quality of construction work and adherence to established deadlines are being closely monitored. Slow construction rates and insufficient numbers of workers were noted at certain sites, for which the contractors have been issued corresponding comments. For a number of projects, deadlines have been set for addressing the identified deficiencies.

At the direction of Kyrgyz president, 20 educational facilities are currently being built in Bishkek using funds from the national budget. Of these, six are located in the Oktyabrsky District, six in the Leninsky District, five in the Pervomaysky District, and three in the Sverdlovsky District. The projects are being implemented by the Ministry of Construction.
