Bishkek, June 22, 2026. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan is switching to new methods for extinguishing fires in electric vehicles and has developed special regulations and training programs. Kanatbek Chynybaev, head of the ministry told Kabar.

According to him, the relevant department has currently prepared special regulations, and methodological exercises and training are planned to begin on July 1.

"During an inspection of fire and rescue units, one of the employees asked how exactly rescuers would extinguish fires in electric vehicles, given the rapid increase in their number in the country. Indeed, the amount of modern technology has increased over time, yet such nuances have remained unaddressed. Following this, the relevant department developed a regulation, and starting July 1, we intend to organize methodological exercises and training sessions in this area. "In fact, if a fire occurs in an electric vehicle, extinguishing it is very difficult," Chynybaev said.

The minister noted that extinguishing fires in electric vehicles is a complex process that requires new approaches and methodology. He expressed gratitude to the employee who raised this issue and added that such initiatives demonstrate a commitment to the service and an ability to think ahead.
