New Kyrgyz-Belarusian Business Council to promote joint projects

Bishkek, June 5, 2026. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyzstan-Belarus International Economic Cooperation Forum took place in Bishkek, bringing together heads of government agencies, business circles, and leading companies from both countries.

According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, the forum was attended by Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyz Republic; Alexander Turchin, Prime Minister of Belarus; Temir Sariev, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan; and Mikhail Myatlikov, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Temir Sariev noted that Kyrgyzstan and Belarus are bound by decades of friendship, mutual respect, and partnership, and that today's meeting opens new opportunities for expanding economic cooperation between the two countries.

One of the main outcomes of the forum was the signing of agreement establishing the Kyrgyz-Belarusian Business Council. The new structure will become a permanent platform for developing direct contacts between entrepreneurs from the two countries, supporting investment initiatives, and promoting joint projects.

The forum included industry-specific panel discussions on investment, industrial cooperation, the agro-industrial complex, digital transformation, insurance, export financing, and modern business development tools.

The practical outcome of the forum was the signing of approximately 20 agreements, contracts, and memorandums between Kyrgyz and Belarusian companies worth a total of $5.1 million.

The agreements reached cover a wide range of areas, including the supply of agricultural and specialized equipment, the development of industrial cooperation, and collaboration in the construction industry, insurance, pharmaceuticals, the food industry, and trade.
