Bishkek, June 24, 2026. /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov spoke about the measures being taken for the socioeconomic development of Naryn district.
"The district is located along the Naryn River, the largest river in Central Asia. In addition to the At-Bashy HPP, the Upper Naryn HPP cascade project is planned for the future. Construction of the Kulanak HPP is currently underway, making the district one of the most important for the country's energy development. "Furthermore, the Solton-Sary Valley is rich in gold deposits, and the Eki-Naryn Valley contains significant iron ore reserves," the president noted.
President Zhaparov met with officials and residents of Naryn city and the Naryn district today, June 24, during a working visit to the Naryn Region.
