Bishkek, June 2, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Ambassador to Italy Ermek Omuraliev paid a working visit to the Sardinia region.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the visit, the ambassador met with Mayor of Cagliari Massimo Zedda, the Prefect of Sardinia Paola Dessi, and the Executive Secretary of the Regional Government Claudio Cugusi.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the potential for cooperation in trade and economic, tourism, agriculture, investment, and cultural and humanitarian areas.
The ambassador also met with the Chief of Police of Sardinia Rosanna Lavezzaro. During the conversation, interaction with local authorities, the conditions for the stay of Kyrgyz citizens in the region, and measures to ensure the protection of their rights and legitimate interests were discussed.
At the end of the working visit, a meeting was held with representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora living in Sardinia. They discussed current issues related to consular services and the stay of Kyrgyz citizens in Italy.
