Bishkek, May 20, 2026. /Kabar/. Saudi Arabia donated nearly 49 tons of dates to Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
According to the ministry, a ceremony was held today to hand over the humanitarian aid from Saudi Arabia – 48 tons (720 kg) of dates for socially vulnerable groups – with the participation of the Saudi Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Iyad bin Ghazi Hakim.
"Humanitarian aid will be distributed to nursing homes, orphanages, including the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, and through district social welfare departments to vulnerable citizens and families," the statement reads.
The project is being implemented by the King Salman Rescue and Humanitarian Aid Center and is part of Saudi Arabia's systemic humanitarian support to Kyrgyzstan.
