Bishkek, June 1, 2026 /Kabar/. The first scientific dissertation in history studying the activities of the main news agencies of Kyrgyzstan and China was defended at the Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagyn.
Thу university reported that in his scientific work, Chinese doctoral student Jiang Lin deeply studied the news and activities of the Kyrgyz National Kabar News Agency and the world-famous China’s Xinhua News Agency. This became the first scientific work that comprehensively compared the main news sources of the two countries in the media industry.
The study analyzed one of the most important directions of today - constructive journalism (not just stating the problem in the news, but also showing ways to solve it).
This defense was registered as the first PhD dissertation in the history of the Faculty of Journalism of the Kyrgyz National University, the report said.
The preparation of the scientific work was led by Kyrgyz scientist, associate professor A. Duishekeeva and lecturer of the Kazakh National University Sh. Nurzhanova.
Representatives of the scientific community emphasized that this work will raise the exchange of experience in journalism of the two countries to a new level and will be a very valuable tool for future specialists.
