SCO: Bishkek to discuss agricultural issues

Bishkek, April 14, 2026 /Kabar/. The 11th meeting of the ministers of agriculture of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states will be held in Bishkek on April 15-16, Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry reports.

The meeting will be attended by heads of the agricultural sector of the SCO member states. These include India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Belarus.

They will discuss topical issues of the agricultural sector at the regional and global levels. In particular, special attention will be paid to ensuring food security, introducing modern agricultural technologies and sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex.

The issues of deepening cooperation between SCO member states in the agricultural sector, exchanging advanced experiences and best practices will also be considered.
