The 6th Meeting of the Energy Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is taking place at the Ala-Archa State Residence in Bishkek, chaired by Kyrgyzstan. This meeting serves as a key international platform for deepening regional partnership in the energy sector.
At the opening ceremony, Kyrgyz Energy Minister Altynbek Rysbekov welcomed the participants and noted that hosting a meeting of this level in Bishkek is a great honor for Kyrgyzstan's energy sector.
He also emphasized that the SCO's 25th anniversary marks a new strategic stage in the organization's development, and that energy cooperation has expanded in recent years from regional security issues to sustainable and green development.
