Cholpon-Ata, June 5, 2026. /Kabar/. The 4th Meeting of Industry Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states took place at State Residence No. 2 in Cholpon-Ata, chaired by Kyrgyzstan.
Following the meeting, the participants adopted a joint communiqué outlining the main areas of further industrial cooperation.
As SCO Deputy Secretary-General Sohail Khan told Kabar, the meeting was successful and marked an important step in strengthening cooperation between the organization's member states.

"Today, the ministers adopted a joint communiqué, which was the result of numerous consultations and dialogue. "The document clearly reflects the parties' intentions for developing cooperation in the future," he said.
According to Sohail Khan, the SCO countries intend to intensify joint work in the industrial sector, implement new technologies, create competitive and high-quality products, and expand business opportunities and develop new markets.
SCO Deputy Secretary-General emphasized that the adopted document will give further impetus to cooperation between the organization's member states. While previously interaction was primarily bilateral, this work will now develop in a multilateral format.
"Joint actions will help create new consultation mechanisms and lay the foundation for further effective cooperation," Sohail Khan noted.
