Bishkek, June 3, 2026. /Kabar/. On June 2, the second phase of the "Integrated Rural Development" project was officially launched. Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry informs.
Kyrgyzstan represented by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Rustam Baltabaev, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Good Neighbors International representatives sign tripartite memorandum.
In accordance with the new five-year plan, the project will be implemented in the southern regions of the country, in particular in Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken regions. Particular emphasis will be placed on the development of agriculture, livestock, the processing industry and logistics.
Phase I of the project has shown great success in modernizing infrastructure and increasing labor productivity.
The following goals have been set for the second phase:
- Sustainably increasing the income of the rural population;
- Strengthening the agro-industrial potential of the regions;
- Increasing the well-being and economic stability of rural households.
