Bishkek, April 3, 2025. /Kabar /. Spring field work is currently actively continuing in the Batken, Osh, Chui and Jalal-Abad regions of Kyrgyzstan.
According to data of the Ministry of Agriculture, 116.7 thousand hectares of agricultural land have been sown to date:
Wheat - 35.3 thousand hectares have been sown, which is 34.3% of the planned volume. Compared to the same period last year, the area under crops has increased by 9.2 thousand hectares.
Barley - 69.9 thousand hectares have been sown, which is 29% of the planned crop structure. Compared to last year, the sown area has increased by 23.0 thousand hectares. In 2025, spring barley sowing is forecasted on 241.3 thousand hectares.
Corn - sowing work has begun in the Jalal-Abad region, to date 4.7 thousand hectares have been sown.
Potatoes - planted on an area of 3.5 thousand hectares, which is 1.7 thousand hectares more compared to the same period last year.
Vegetable and melon crops - sowing work has begun in the Osh and Jalal-Abad regions.
