Torobaev: Kyrgyzstan's large scale projects to drive economic growth until 2030

Bishkek, April 8, 2026 /Kabar/. Accordingly with Sadyr Zhaparov's instructions, Kyrgyzstan will select the 200 most promising investment projects that will drive economic growth until 2030, Bakyt Torobaev, special representative of Kyrgyz President special assignments.

According to him, the main goal of the initiative is to assist regions in developing high-quality business plans, as the district level often lacks the experience to prepare large investment documents.

"We are collecting 200 large-scale projects in key sectors such as energy, tourism, mining, and manufacturing. After detailed development and preparation, we will present them to potential investors. We will also promote these projects among international donors working in Kyrgyzstan," explained Bakyt Torobaev.

Representative recalled that the presidential decree approved the country's National Development Program until 2030. It identifies four priority areas:

  • industrialization;
  • development of Kyrgyzstan as a regional hub;
  • agriculture and tourism;
  • green energy.

"The implementation of these large-scale projects should ensure GDP growth to $30 billion by 2030. We have an ambitious goal: to become one of the 30 developed countries in the world. We believe that large-scale national projects will become a powerful driver of the Kyrgyz economy," he emphasized.
