Tourism and investment potential of Kyrgyzstan presented for foreign consuls

Bishkek, June 1, 2026. /Kabar/. On May 30, the director of consular department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Seitek Zhumakadyr uulu, held meeting with consuls of foreign embassies accredited in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the foreign ministry's press service, the event was aimed at further strengthening cooperation with the diplomatic corps and introducing diplomats from other countries to the republic's tourism, cultural, and investment potential.

During the meeting, participants learned the country's leadership's ongoing efforts to develop the tourism industry and create modern infrastructure. Particular attention was paid to measures to enhance Kyrgyzstan's attractiveness as a leading tourist destination in the region.

The foreign diplomats visited Ala-Archa National Park, during which they were shown the new cable car, the Khan-Tengri tourist complex, and other attractions, and were presented with prospects for further development in the area.

Participants were also introduced to the concept of the large-scale industry project "Three Peaks," aimed at developing mountain tourism and creating new opportunities to attract foreign visitors and investment.

"The program included introducing guests to the rich cultural heritage of Kyrgyz people and the traditions of their nomadic civilization." "The diplomats had the opportunity to participate in ethnocultural events, including horseback riding and archery," the ministry noted.

Following the meeting, the parties also confirmed their interest in further developing constructive cooperation and expanding collaboration in promoting Kyrgyzstan's tourism potential internationally.
