Bishkek, May 26, 2026. /Kabar/. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and South Korea reached a record high in 2021-2025, increasing by 9.2 times. Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov told during the meeting with Minister of Trade, Industry and Resources of Korea Kim Jong-wan in Seoul.
According to the department, exports increased by 4.5 times, and imports by 9.3 times.
"In 2025, trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $508.7 million, an increase of 17% compared to 2024. Of which, imports amounted to $506 million (an increase of 17%), exports amounted to $2.7 million (an increase of 3.8%)," the report says.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation, expanding exports of Kyrgyz products to the South Korean market, and promising projects in the field of industry and high technologies.

Kyrgyz side expressed particular interest in developing industrial cooperation in the manufacturing sector, implementing joint projects, promoting e-commerce, and expanding cooperation between the business circles of the two countries.
