Bishkek, April 16, 2026 /Kabar/. Today, April 16, the Speaker of Jogorku Kenesh Marlen Mamataliev met with the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva in Istanbul.
As reported by the parliament, the parties exchanged views on topical issues related to cooperation between two countries and enhancing interparliamentary relations.
Marlen Mamataliev noted that the demarcation of borders has given a great impetus to strengthening trade and economic ties.
In turn, Tanzila Narbaeva noted that positive ties have been established in the cultural and humanitarian spheres, citing the fact that in recent years the two peoples have been visiting each other a lot as tourists.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized that last year the volume of trade turnover between the two countries increased to 1 billion US dollars.
