Turkish investors interested to open pharmaceutical production facility in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, May 26, 2026 /Kabar/. Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov met with Safa Yılmaz, founder of the Turkish company UNIEN PHARMA İLAÇ TEKNOLOJİ LTD. ŞTİ, and company representatives. The parties discussed the possibility of opening a pharmaceutical and dietary supplement production facility in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the negotiations also addressed issues related to exporting products manufactured in Kyrgyzstan, logistics opportunities, and prospects for expanding investment cooperation.

Bakyt Sydykov noted that Kyrgyzstan places special emphasis on providing the population with high-quality and safe medications. He emphasized the importance of legal and controlled drug supplies.

The minister also stated that developing local production of medicines and vitamins is a priority of state policy. He stated that the state is ready to provide comprehensive support to investment projects in the pharmaceutical sector.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in further developing cooperation and agreed to continue working together on specific projects.
