Bishkek, June 18, 2026 /Kabar/. Bishkek City Hall delegation participated in the 10th World Cities Summit 2026 in Singapore from June 14 to 16.
The delegation included First Deputy Mayor of Bishkek Kubanychbek Imanaliev and Director of the Digital Technologies Center of the Bishkek City Hall, Zhumamuduun Zhumaliev.
The World Cities Summit is a leading international platform bringing together city leaders, government representatives, international organizations, businesses, and the expert community to discuss pressing issues of sustainable urban development and share best practices.
The theme of the 2026 Summit is "Liveable and Sustainable Cities: ACT Now!" Discussions focused on the digital transformation of cities, the implementation of innovative technologies, the development of sustainable urban infrastructure, climate resilience, and the improvement of the urban environment.
During the Summit, Bishkek representatives participated in plenary sessions, thematic sessions, and events dedicated to the development of smart cities, the digitalization of municipal governance, sustainable mobility, urban planning, and modern approaches to urban infrastructure development.
The delegation also learned about Singapore's best practices in urban governance, digital technologies, and sustainable development, and held a number of meetings and professional consultations with international colleagues and experts.
Participation in the World Cities Summit 2026 allowed us to strengthen international ties, exchange experiences with representatives from cities around the world, and explore modern solutions that can be used in the future development of Kyrgyzstan's capital.
