Incidence of allergic rhinitis among children increases in Kyrgyzstan 2.5-fold

Bishkek, Feb. 2, 2026 /Kabar/. No comprehensive study has been conducted in Kyrgyzstan on the impact of smog on public health, Zharkynbek Kasymbekov, Director of the National Institute of Public Health, at a meeting of the Agrarian Committee of the Zhogorku Kenesh said on Monday.

At the same time, he noted that international research indicates a direct link between smog and the growth of respiratory diseases.

“In particular, the incidence of allergic rhinitis among children in our country has increased 2.5-fold,” Kasymbekov said.
