Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev presented a comprehensive report at the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh, outlining the achievements and development prospects in the tourism, culture, and sports sectors.
According to Adylbek Kasymaliev, tourism is becoming one of the fastest-growing sectors of the country's economy. Construction of the four-season ski resort "Ala-Too Resort" has begun as part of a major investment project. This large-scale tourism and ski resort is located in the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region and encompasses three zones, Jyrgalan, Ak-Bulak, and Boz-Uchuk, with a total area of 3,916 hectares.
Particular attention in the tourism sector is being paid to the development of the Issyk-Kul region and Cholpon-Ata. All sanatoriums, boarding houses, hotels, and beaches are being gradually brought up to established standards, improving the quality of service.
"Kyrgyzstan's international reputation as a tourist destination is also growing significantly. In 2025, the Kyrgyz Republic was ranked among the top 50 holiday destinations in the world by the prestigious Financial Times. Furthermore, Kyrgyzstan was recognized as one of the best destinations for ethnic tourism by the prestigious British publication The Guardian," Kasymaliev emphasized.
