Bishkek, Oct. 12, 2026 /Kabar/. The State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan plans to collect 187 billion som in customs duties in 2026. Ulan Kimsanov, Chairman of the State Customs Service, told journalists during the "Modern Customs" international forum.
According to him, the increase in revenue is driven by comprehensive efforts to modernize the customs service, digitize procedures, and improve operational efficiency.
"While we collected an average of 20–30 billion som annually in 2020, today our average monthly revenue stands at around 16 billion som. To put it in perspective: in 2020, we collected 21 billion som, whereas in 2025, revenue reached 158 billion som.
The initial target set for 2026 was 142 billion som. We now project customs revenue to reach 187 billion som. Thus, we plan to exceed the original target by 45 billion som," said Ulan Kimsanov.
He emphasized that these results are the outcome of consistent efforts to improve customs processes.
"All these results have been achieved through painstaking and challenging work. We are modernizing border crossing points, digitizing procedures, and streamlining the processes for the movement and clearance of goods."
"Not only the customs service but also other government agencies are involved in this work," noted the head of the State Customs Service.
