Bishkek, Feb. 25, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan organized a diplomatic reception in Geneva within the framework of the High-level segment of the 61st session of the UN Human Rights Council, Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

At the reception, Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev emphasized that in the context of escalating conflicts, humanitarian crises and climate challenges, the UN Human Rights Council remains the most important tool for preventing systematic violations of human rights in the world and conducting dialogue.

The minister noted that Kyrgyzstan became a member of the Council for the third time, and as a result of its membership, which ended in 2025, commitment to human rights has acquired practical content for the country, and this direction is the basis not only for domestic, but also for foreign state policy.

Kulubaev confirmed that Kyrgyzstan remains a consistent supporter of supporting international institutions, reforming the UN, and ensuring equitable geographical representation of states in the main bodies of the organization.

The minister also noted that, thanks to the political will of the leaders of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, the long-standing border issue in the Fergana Valley was resolved, which laid the foundation for strengthening security, trust, and dialogue in Central Asia.

The minister noted the country's active role in preserving the heritage of nomadic culture and promoting the global agenda for the sustainable development of mountainous regions, and invited participants to the next World Nomad Games in 2026 and the II Global Mountain Summit in 2027.

In conclusion, Kulubaev assured the high-ranking representatives of the UN member states that Kyrgyzstan will consistently continue its multi-pronged foreign policy aimed at protecting high standards of humanity, strengthening global peace and security, and ensuring fundamental human rights.
