Bishkek, May 14, 2026 /Kabar/. On May 13, the Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, Bakyt Sydykov, presented the first results of the reform implemented as part of the "Regulatory Guillotine" initiative.
According to the ministry, 905 permitting documents were revised during the reform. Of these, 410 documents were abolished, reducing the number of procedures by 45.3%.
In addition, 170 documents were consolidated, and as a result of the optimization, a new system was created, comprising 495 permits.
It is noted that the reform is aimed at reducing administrative and financial costs for businesses, cutting down on bureaucratic procedures, and reducing the number of contacts between entrepreneurs and government agencies.
The presidential decree also approved an exhaustive list of 439 permits. Government agencies are no longer authorized to require businesses to provide documents not included in this list.
Furthermore, a package of further optimization for another 199 documents was approved. It provides for the simplification of procedures and the gradual digitalization of processes.
