Bishkek, April 7, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and Russia have agreed to directly supply energy equipment without intermediaries. Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev announced this to journalists at the international congress "Hydropower: Central Asia and the Caspian."

According to him, the agreement was concluded between the relevant ministries of the two countries and is aimed at establishing direct ties with manufacturing companies.

"This will eliminate intermediary structures from the supply chain, which increase product costs," he said.

The minister emphasized that domestic energy companies will be able to directly sign long-term contracts with factories. This approach will enable them to fix prices, control equipment quality, and reduce delivery times.

Ibraev also announced the introduction of a new practice in Kyrgyzstan: performing repairs without disconnecting power, known as live work. Thus, they signed agreement with an energy company from Tatarstan, and specialists have undergone the appropriate training.

The minister noted that the new technology will allow for scheduled and emergency repairs to be carried out without interruptions in power supply. This is especially important for social facilities where power outages are unacceptable.

In the future, the country plans to establish special training and practical sites and form teams capable of working live.
