Ministry of Labor approves 2026 holidays in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Dec. 11, 2025. /Kabar/. Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration has approved the production calendar for 2026, according to which Kyrgyzstanis can expect a number of public, non-working, and pre-holiday days.

The following public holidays will be traditionally celebrated in 2026:

January 1 — New Year;

February 23 — Defender of the Fatherland Day;

March 8 — International Women's Day;

March 21 — Nooruz National Holiday;

April 7 — People's April Revolution Day;

May 1 — Labor Day;

May 5 — Constitution Day of the Kyrgyz Republic;

May 9 — Victory Day;

August 31 — Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic;

November 7 and 8 — History and Ancestral Memory Days.

The following non-working days have been approved for 2026:

January 1–6 — New Year's holidays;

March 8 — International Women's Day;

March 21 — Nooruz;

May 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8 — May holidays;

May 5 — Constitution Day;

May 9 — Victory Day;

August 31 — Independence Day.

It is also noted that the Muslim holidays of Orozo Ait and Kurman Ait, determined by the lunar calendar, as well as January 7- Orthodox Christmas, are also non-working holidays.

In 2026, the following days will be shortened: March 20, April 30, and December 31.

Furthermore, on the pre-holiday holidays, working hours are reduced: February 23 and April 7.

The production calendar helps organizations properly plan their work schedules and record working hours throughout the year.
