Bishkek, July 1, 2026 /Kabar/. Minister of Health Damir Osmonov is participating in the "Open Cabinet: Territory of Responsibility" media project.
The minister's workday began on Birinchi Radio. As part of the media project, he answered the most pressing and pressing questions from Kyrgyzstan residents live on air.
The minister then headed to a ceremonial handover of vehicles to the country's regional hospitals, where he participated in the official key presentation ceremony with Cabinet head Adylbek Kasymaliev.
The day before, the ministry also received nine Hyundai special ambulances equipped with oxygen devices from the Ministry of Emergency Situations. They were handed over to the Ministry of Health in honor of the professional holiday—Medical Worker's Day.
The minister detailed the distribution of the received special vehicles.
"Three vehicles will be temporarily used to ensure security at the World Nomad Games, and one will be sent to the Boom Gorge first aid post. The remaining vehicles will be distributed among the regions," Damir Osmonov said.
The head of the ministry also addressed the shortage of special vehicles in the capital.
"Currently, Bishkek's need for ambulances is only 45% met. However, we expect to receive 150 vehicles soon. This will allow us to cover 90% of the capital's total vehicle fleet needs," he noted.
The minister then showed the media his office and noted that his day traditionally begins with reviewing and signing documents.
Then, the minister held a working meeting with the heads of the ministry's relevant departments, representatives of healthcare organizations, and heads of regional institutions, who joined the discussion via videoconference.
During the day, Damir Osmonov will also visit several medical and pharmaceutical facilities in Bishkek, including the state-owned El Aman pharmacy chain and the Research Institute for Cardiac Surgery and Organ Transplantation.
The main goal of the minister's visits is to personally verify the availability of high-quality medications for the population and assess the quality of medical care in the country's leading surgical hospitals.
