President Sadyr Zhaparov wraps up his visit to Uzbekistan

Bishkek, Nov. 17, 2025. /Kabar/. The working visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to the Republic of Uzbekistan, which took place on November 15-16, has concluded.

On the first day of the visit, the head of state held talks with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The parties discussed issues of further strengthening Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation, including developing political dialogue, trade and economic relations, implementing joint projects, and expanding cultural and humanitarian ties that strengthen the atmosphere of trust and good-neighborliness between the two countries.

Sadyr Zhaparov then visited the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent.

The leaders of the region were presented with a rich collection of manuscripts, artifacts, and unique exhibits reflecting the centuries-old contribution of the peoples of Central Asia to the development of Islamic science, culture, and education.

On the second day of his visit, the head of state attended and addressed the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.

He emphasized the importance of strengthening trust and unity in the region, noting the need to coordinate the positions of Central Asian countries on international platforms.

Speaking about transport infrastructure, the president noted the strategic importance of the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and other transit projects, and proposed creating a unified electronic platform to facilitate transportation.

The heads of state then signed a number of multilateral documents, including an appeal from the heads of Central Asian states to UN member states regarding the candidacy of the Kyrgyz Republic for non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council for 2027-2028.

Having completed his working visit to Uzbekistan, President Sadyr ZhJaparov returned to Bishkek on November 16.
