SMEs contribution in Kyrgyzstan's GDP to increase up to 50% by 2030

Bishkek, Oct. 30, 2025 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan intends to increase the share of gross domestic product produced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to 50% by 2030, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldyev told during the National Development Forum – 2030.

According to him, the National Development Program until 2030 envisages the creation of 25 prototypes of domestic technologies and a comprehensive set of measures to form a unified ecosystem of business support.

“It is planned to introduce a certification system, adopt laws on industrial policy and industrial development, and improve mechanisms for preferential leasing, lending, and subsidies. We aim to increase the contribution of SMEs to GDP to 50%, thereby ensuring sustainable growth and employment in the regions,” Amangeldyev noted.

He emphasized that to achieve these goals, the business support infrastructure will be developed:

  • creation of new funds and financial instruments, including with the participation of international donors;
  • introduction of online services for interaction between entrepreneurs and government agencies;
  • launch of educational programs on digital skills and the implementation of ESG standards;
  • new financial products for women entrepreneurs and guarantee instruments for exporters;
  • preparation of regulatory framework for unsecured lending and the use of intangible assets as a form of collateral.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, these measures will create sustainable and inclusive business environment, increase the competitiveness of Kyrgyz companies, and strengthen the country's position in the regional economy.
