Bishkek, Dec. 30, 2025 /Kabar/. State Customs Service informs foreign trade participants about the entry into force of the Eurasian Economic Commission's decisions regarding the import of electric vehicles.

Decision No. 111 of the EEC Council dated December 5, 2025, on granting a tariff exemption from import customs duty on electric vehicles will take effect on January 22, 2026.

This decision applies to "pure electric vehicles" (EAEU TN VED code 8703 80 000 3) and "series hybrids" (EAEU TN VED code 8703 80 000 5) imported into Kyrgyzstan.

On the same date, the Commission's acts amending the Eurasian Economic Union TN VED for certain types of vehicles (EEC Council Decision No. 110 of December 23, 2025, and EEC Board Decision No. 81 of September 23, 2025) will enter into force.

We would like to draw the attention of foreign trade participants that the tariff exemption and quotas for the import of electric vehicles will no longer apply from January 1, 2026, but will only take effect from January 22, 2026.

State Customs Service recommends that participants in foreign economic activity take this information into account when planning the import of electric vehicles.
