Bishkek, Jan. 29, 2026. /Kabar/. Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev met with the permanent representatives of nine foreign countries to the United Nations in New York, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan on their latest visit.
According to the Foreign Ministry, during the meeting, the Foreign Minister briefed the UN ambassadors of Andorra, Gabon, Guyana, Guatemala, Guinea-Bissau, Namibia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Chad, and South Sudan on the country's ongoing large-scale socioeconomic reforms, and spoke in detail about the country's achievements and upcoming events in 2026—the SCO Summit and the 6th World Nomad Games.
Minister Kulubaev emphasized the importance of Kyrgyzstan's cooperation with the UN, noting that the organization occupies a central place in the country's foreign policy. He also discussed Kyrgyzstan's initiatives and interactions with other UN member states.
For their part, the Permanent Representatives commended Kyrgyzstan's efforts to promote global initiatives, including climate change, the mountain agenda, biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, and peace and security. They expressed their readiness to deepen cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, both multilaterally and bilaterally.
The parties also exchanged views on current international issues and the global geopolitical situation, cooperation in Central Asia, and other global issues.
As part of the program, the ambassadors visited winter tourism sites, a number of government institutions to exchange experiences in advanced technologies, as well as the UN House and historical and cultural sites of the country.
