Bishkek, May 27, 2026. /Kabar/. United Nations Secretary General António Guterres will visit Kyrgyzstan in August.
The upcoming visit of the UN secretary general to Bishkek to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit was discussed in New York during the meeting between Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev and UN Secretary General António Guterres.
The secretary general noted that he was pleased to accept the invitation of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov, to participate in the Summit.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that during the meeting, the parties discussed current international and regional issues, as well as prospects for further expanding cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the UN.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening the mutually beneficial dialogue and partnership between the Kyrgyz Republic and the UN, as well as continuing active interaction within international forums.
