Bishkek, June 26, 2025. /Kabar/. The electoral system of Kyrgyzstan is transparent and democratic, Chairman of the Supreme Electoral Council of Turkiye Ahmet Yener told at the Issyk-Kul Electoral Forum held in Cholpon-Ata town of Kyrgyzstan.

According to him, elections in Kyrgyzstan are held openly and accurately every year.

"We have previously observed the electoral system of Kyrgyzstan. Representatives of the Turkish electoral authorities have repeatedly participated in the elections in Kyrgyzstan as observers. In our opinion, the elections in Kyrgyzstan are held transparently, in accordance with democratic principles and international standards,” he noted.

Ahmet Yener also emphasized that the experience of the Kyrgyz electoral authorities can serve as an example for other countries and that such forums provide a good opportunity to exchange experiences.

“Our goal in participating in this forum is to get to know the electoral practices of different countries better. We are very interested in how the electronic voting system has been successfully implemented in Kyrgyzstan. Perhaps, in the future, we will move in this direction. Currently, elections are held in Turkiye in the traditional way. We have presidential and parliamentary elections on the same day. There are 11 members in the Supreme Electoral Council of Turkiye, and their decisions are final,” he noted.

Ahmet Yener also added that the experience discussed at the forum can contribute to the improvement of the Turkish electoral system and the introduction of new technologies in the future.
