Bishkek, July 4, 2025. /Kabar/. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a scientific and practical conference dedicated to the development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China in new conditions is being held in Bishkek.
The event is attended by Minister of Justice, Director of the National Institute for Strategic Initiatives under the President, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ayaz Baetov, Deputy Chairman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Meder Abakirov, Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Liu Jiangping, representatives of the diplomatic, scientific and expert circles, the business community, as well as international analysts.
The main purpose of the conference is to analyze geopolitical changes and develop proposals for strengthening bilateral relations.
The areas are as follows:
Digital transformation and technological cooperation;
Assessment of the contractual and legal framework between China and Kyrgyzstan;
Strengthening the strategic partnership within the SCO;
Studying China's experience in public administration reforms and poverty reduction.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is an international organization established in 2001. Its goal is to ensure regional security, support sustainable development and multilateral cooperation. In 2026, the SCO will celebrate its 25th anniversary as a cooperation format that grew out of the Shanghai Five format.
