Bishkek, Nov. 10, 2025 /Kabar/. As part of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's (EBRD) Green City project, 95 modern, eco-friendly buses have been purchased for Bishkek.
According to the mayor's office, all 95 buses have already left the factory and are on their way to the Kyrgyz capital city.
The delivery of the new buses will be an important step in the modernization of the capital's public transportation system. The new buses will provide city residents with a convenient, safe, and environmentally friendly mode of transportation, as well as improve energy efficiency and travel comfort.
The implementation of this project is aimed at improving the city's transport infrastructure, reducing harmful emissions, and creating a modern, sustainable transportation system. The Green City programme, supported by the EBRD, aims to comprehensively upgrade the bus fleet and develop safe, convenient, and environmentally friendly public transport in Bishkek.
