Bishkek, March 3, 2026. /Kabar/. In 2026, Chakan HPP OJSC will implement a comprehensive program to modernize electrical equipment. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
The work plan of Chakan HPP for 2026 provides for major repairs of hydroelectric units, reconstruction of old stations, as well as commissioning of new facilities.
The work plan includes major repairs of the following hydropower units:
Hydropower unit No. 1 of HPP-3;
Hydropower unit No. 1 of HPP-4;
Hydropower unit No. 2 of HPP-5;
Hydropower unit No. 2 of HPP-6.
In addition:
Repair work on hydropower unit No. 1 of HPP-1;
Repair work on hydropower unit No. 2 of Bystrovka HPP;
Commissioning of the Orto-Tokoy HPP;
Continuation of construction of the Papan HPP;
Reconstruction of the Lebedinovka HPP;
Installation of 20 charging stations for electric vehicles is planned.
"These works will allow to extend the service life of the equipment and ensure its stable operation in the autumn-winter period of 2026-2027," the report says.
