Bishkek, July 10, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan is preparing to host the World Festival "Rukh Sanat", which will be held from August 1 to 3, 2025, in the Rukh Ordo cultural and ethnographic complex in Cholpon-Ata.
More than 130 performers and researchers of traditional music from 51 countries have confirmed their participation, the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The festival will combine three areas: an international competition among traditional music performers, a scientific and practical congress, and the Market cultural practices fair. To date, 60 performers from 15 countries have confirmed their participation in the competition, including the United States, Japan, Hungary, Guinea, and Nepal. Participants from Kyrgyzstan will be determined later.
More than 100 scientists from 20 countries are expected to perform at the congress. They will discuss the preservation of intangible cultural heritage, digitalization of traditional music, and the role of cultural minorities.
The Market venue will bring together 38 masters, producers, and creative groups from 14 countries. Among them are famous ethnic groups from Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Egypt.
The festival is organized by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Culture, the Research Center for Traditional Culture and Art of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Turkic Heritage Fund, and the Manas Kyrgyz National Theater.
