Bishkek, Oct 2.2025 /Kabar/. Talantbek Jekshenov, Bishkek City department head for Employment Promotion under the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic, reported that city's labor market currently needs workers in service, education, and municipal sectors.

There is acute shortage of personnel in the transportation sector. The bus fleet is currently being updated, and new buses are being introduced, creating a shortage of drivers. Furthermore, companies such as Tazalyk and Zelenstroy need employees, Jekshenov noted.

He added that the department's database contains over 5,500 vacancies, and approximately 10,000-12,000 people are employed annually. Job openings are posted on specialized websites, and free professional development, retraining, and training courses are offered to those registered as unemployed. After completing the courses, we assist with subsequent employment. Many programs include internships with employers, and the individual immediately receives employment opportunities, he emphasized.

Zhekshenov also noted that special attention is paid to the employment of people with disabilities. According to the Kyrgyz Republic's Labor Code, all companies are required to allocate quotas for them. We send letters to organizations, they inform us of available positions, and we offer employment within the quota, taking into account the applicant's health condition, he explained.

Job and Career Fair participating companies included MegaCom, Issunbou Co Ltd., Kulikov, Neman, M-Bank, Beeline, Shoro, as well as representatives of the Abdraimov Aviation Institute, and others. MegaCom offered positions for customer service and technical support specialists. The Japanese company Issunbou Co. Ltd. opened vacancies in the field of architecture.
