Kyrgyzstan implements number of significant measures in 2025 to develop agriculture

Bishkek, Jan. 8, 2026 /Kabar/. Over the first 11 months of 2025, the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry implemented a number of significant measures aimed at developing agriculture and introducing scientific approaches and digital technologies.

In the area of ​​scientific research, research and production work was conducted on 35 topics in crop production, livestock breeding, and pasture management. One of the key topics was the development of scientific foundations for improving and preserving the genetic potential of farm animals (cattle, small ruminants, and horses).

To strengthen interactions between farmers, processing companies, associations, and businesses, the "Agrodialogue 2025" forum was held, bringing together 2,521 agricultural producers, exporters, processors, and representatives of the financial sector.

To develop agriculture using digital technologies, the "Digital Farmer 2025" forum was organized, attended by 580 representatives of government agencies, farmers, entrepreneurs, processors, and international partners.

To train farmers in modern technologies, "Agrozoovet" training caravans were held, attended by 760 rural producers.

Twenty-six Farmer Service Centers have been established in the republic, and 2,358 farmers received advisory services in the first 11 months of 2025.

Furthermore, the ministry is implementing the "Farmer's Personal Account" and "3+2+1" pilot projects, for which 240 farmers have been selected. We provide support for the entire production cycle – from field to shelf.
