Bishkek, May 17, 2025. / Kabar /. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic Kamchybek Tashiev took part in the 56th meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services (SORS) of the CIS member states in Dushanbe (Tajikistan).
During the meeting, the participants discussed a wide range of issues related to ensuring regional security, combating international terrorism, extremism, transnational organized crime, as well as strengthening cooperation and exchanging operational information between the special services of the CIS countries.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of countering threats emanating from terrorist and extremist organizations, including against the backdrop of the continuing instability in certain regions.
Kamchybek Tashiev expressed support for a number of initiatives presented during the meeting aimed at strengthening cooperation between the special services of the CIS countries, increasing the efficiency of intelligence and operational information exchange, as well as jointly countering new and traditional security challenges.
Following the meeting, the decisions were made aimed at further developing cooperation between the special services of the CIS countries, and a plan of joint activities for the coming period was approved.
The participation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the work of the Council of the Security Councils underscores the country's commitment to the principles of collective security and its desire for constructive cooperation with the CIS countries in order to ensure peace, stability and sustainable development in the region.
