Bishkek, Feb. 17, 2025. /Kabar/. Breeding bulls from Switzerland and the Czech Republic will arrive in Kyrgyzstan, Director of the Kyrgyz Research Institute of Animal Husbandry and Pastures Rakhatbek Ibraev told Kabar.

He said that the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic has allocated funds for the purchase of 8 heads of bulls of the Schwyz, Simmental and Aberdeen Angus breeds. "We are bringing them for breeding. We already have such breeds in our country. However, in order to maintain quality, they need to be constantly updated. These bulls will be producer bulls," he said.

He noted that due to artificial insemination, the productivity of animals increases, the cost of meat and milk decreases, and ultimately food security is ensured.

Rakhatbek Ibraev emphasized that in recent years, domestic farmers have begun to actively breed purebred sheep, bulls, and horses, because they realized that a quality product is always in demand.
